Gladstone retained its lead in the first division of the Umbro Sunday soccer league competition by beating Warners Sumner in a rugged match yesterday. North Beach A held on to second place by beating Avonhead A. Woolston Foundry increased its lead in the second division to three points while, m the same division. North Beach B drew, 3-3, with Fire Brigade after being down. 3-1. at half-time. North Beach ended the match with 10 men after Bill Doornenbal was sent off. Peter Nichol (four) nnd Tony Rob (three) made a big contribution to Andersons 19-d. win over Prince of Wales B in the third division, (while Steven Cox
scored three times for Kenco' in the Presidents division. Results:— First division: North Beach A 3, Avonhead A 1; Gladstone 4, Warners Sumner 2; Mastagard A 1, Condor 0; Foresters beat Prince of Wales A by default
Second division: Fire Brigade 3, North Beach B 3; Woolston Foundry 3, Conley and Blyth 0; Ham 7, Avonhead B 0; Sunnyside 4, Carlton 3. Third division: Mastagard B 2..
