Escaper caught
A youth who escaped from the precincts of the District Court on Saturday was recaptured by the police at a Christchurch address yesterday. Andrew- Vermeeren, aged 19, had broken out of a police van by forcing the rear door while he had been waiting to appear on Bench warrants for his arrest. He will appear in the District Court charged with escaping from custody.
