Grants for students
PA Wellington A total of 12,063 tertiary students had received supplementary hardship grants by the end of June, said the acting Minister of Education (Mr Thomson) in Parliament yesterday in reply to a question from Mr R. C. Marshall (Lab., Wanganui). Just over half these (6593) had received the maximum amount of $l5 to $l7. The number of students aged under 20 who had received the grants was slightly 1
higher than the number aged more than 20.
