Credit on B.N.Z. card
PA Wellington, the Bank of New Zealand would introduce new credit facilities on its Visa card, but would put a limit on the credit of each card, the bank said yesterday.
The changes would bring the B.N.Z. Visa card largely in line with the National Bank Visa card, a spokesman confirmed. That means that on _top of free credit of up to 55 days, cardholders will be able to elect to .pay off only a part
of their account and pay interest on the rest.
The B.N.Z. o r iginally offered cards with no credit limit, but cardholders would now be allocated confidential limits, although, they, might apply for these to be extended, a statement said. Cardholders will also be able to uset'heir cards now to cash up to $lOO at B.N.Z. branches.- Cardholders’ cheques of up to $5O will be guaranteed ■by the bank, anl increase from the present; limit of $25. Both these faci-. lities are free of charge. I
