Recycling prizes offered
The Department of Trade and Industry is promoting a recycling competition. The sixth of its kind, it has been organised to encourage recycling among businesses and individuals. Those successful in the competition will win resource conservation awards from the department.
Staff involved in the scheme judged as best will win an expenses-paid holiday, while the company will receive an engraved plaque from -the Minister of Trade and Industry (Mr Adams-Schneider).
A recent winner was the Auckland Bottle Collection Association, which has returned thousands of clean bottles to soft drink I, manufacturers each week.
