Busy week-end for indoor bowlers
Canterbury’s leading indoor bowlers will be busy this week-end. Top priority will go to the national mixed fours finals, which will be held at the Kearneys Road hall on a round robin basis today and tomorow. Winners from zone finals at Auckland, Rotorua, Wanganua, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Tim'aru, Greymouth and Clinton will playoff for the Rothmans Challenge Trophy. Each team will comprise two men and two women. The- Eastern South Island team is made up of four Canterbury bowlers, Leon McLennan, Marie Watson, and
Vai and Bruce McLede. As a result of the mixed I four finals, two changes have 1 been made to the Canterbury team to defend the A. S. j To wrap up . a tight Canterbury will meet the North Island representative team, which is making a southern tour, at Kearneys Road on Tuesday evening. The Canterbury team includes none of the players selected in the South Island side which will meet the North later in the month at Blenheim.
