Two players suspended
Two premier rugby league players were last evening suspended for two matches each by the Canterbury board of control. Steve Bazley (Hornby) and Basil Tala (Halswell) appeared at the board’s judicial hearing. They were sent off . in a related incident, last Saturday and charged by the referee (Mr Tony Drake) with kicking.
