Two farm cadets, Tony Gray (left), aged 20, and Peter Snow, aged 18, on board the Flinders Bay in Lyttelton yesterday, look forward to their trip to Britain where they will spend a year studying at the Berkshire Agricultural College. From Buckinghamshire, Tony has been studying for the last 10 months at Flock House, the farm training centre run by the Ministry of Agriculture at Bulls. Peter, from Tarras, in Western Otago, will spend his year at Berkshire on an agricultural scholarship. They are due to sail tomorrow.
