Affront and Te Manga Jack ran startling 600 m times on the Hastings track yesterday morning. Fast work was carried out on the 1 plough and the course proper, tracks provided soft footing. He did not start off very fast but still cut out the dis? tance in 36.75, the fastest time of the morning. Te Manga Jack is a member of Tony Burridge’s team. He showed promise early in his career before being spelled for 14 months.
