N.Z. wins basketball
PA . Dunedin New Zealand won the third basketball “test” against Launceston Casino, 75-69. at Dunedin last evening, to win the threematch series 2-1. Launceston led the game until the last six minutes, when two sets of free-throws gave New Zealand the lead. New Zealand pressed home its
advantage and won comfortably. The skills of Stan and John Hill thrilled the crowd of 1000, while Cliff Martin, the Launceston guard, also had the crowd on its feet with tremendous ball control and accurate shooting. • Scores: New Zealand 75 (John Rademakers 22, Stan Hill 26, John Hill 19) beat Launceston 69 (Cliff Martin 18, Jim Erichson 16).
