decade only “stretched” Starlifters would be flown to the Antarctic by the U.S.A.F. The basic Cl4l Starlifter was stretched by inserting two plugs, lengthening the fuselage by Bm. The “stretched” Starlifter also had in-flight refuelling equipment, Colonel Byrne’said. ' The aircraft,v,could carry three extra pallets of cargo.
Entrance to '.the base for the open day will be through the No. 2 gate on Orchard Road. .
