Railways design team
PA Wellington Design work for electrification of the North Island Main Trunk railway between Te Rapa and Palmerston North will be undertaken by a team headed bv Mr E. J. Knox, of the Railways Department, the Minister of Railways (Mr McLachlan) has said. Mr Knox, a senior engineer, is at present manager of Air-Sea Services.
He will take up his post as director of the design team in a few weeks time.
Mr B. P. Lundy, assistant manager of Air-Sea Serv ices, will succeed Mr Knox as manager.
