Spaniard wins golf
NZPA Sutton Coldfield. England Spain’s Manuel Pinero'had his first win on the European golf circuit for three years in spite of shooting a final round of 76 in the English Classic tournament yesterday. Pinero, aged 27, recovered
from a disastrous first nine holes I to shoot an inward par 36 and hold off Brtain’s fast-finishing i Sandy Lyle by one stroke. ■ Pinero finished with a two- ; under-par total of 286, the same i aggregate as last year’s winner, • compatriot Severiano Ballesteros. to collect the top prize of £9OOO I ($20,700).
