N.Z. players prosper
Although Richard Hadlee has been plagued by injury, and Geoff Howarth has made few runs in recent weeks,, New Zealand’s other players in the English county cricket championship continue to prosper. At the end of last week John Wright (Derbyshire)
had scored 868 rims at an average of 62, and was sixth in the national list. One place behind him was Glenn Turner (Worcestershire) who had made 775 at 59.6. The best of the West Indians was Viv Richards, with an average of 58.3. He was in ninth place.
