New Swiss loan
PA Wellington New Zealand would borrow the equivalent of about $123 million through a Swiss franc public bond issue and private placement, the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) said. The terms were those available only to borrowers of the highest credit standing in today’s market.
The bond issue would be managed by the Union Bank of Switzerland and the private placement by Credit Suisse. The interest rate would be 5.625 per cent.
