GENERAL RATE: PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974 and all amendments, a General Rate on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the valuation roll of the County, levied as follows; Rural District Council .3611 cents in the dollar Sockburn District Community Council .3439 cents in the dollar Hornby District Community Council .4494 cents in the dollar Halswell District Community Council .4595 cents in the dollar 2. HIGH PRESSURE WATER SUPPLY RATES AND CHARGES: (A) COUNTY (other than Tai Tapu) Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, and all amendments, the following High Pressure Water Supply charges:— (a) Dwelling units, shops or commercial premises connected to unmetered supply $32.00 (b) Houses, shops or commercial premises or vacant residential sections — not connected .. $16.00 (c) Industrial premises — (connected for Industrial or Domestic Water Supply) i) $1.33 per thousand of capital value of property. ii) 3.0328 c per cubic metre of water used up to the amount of item (i) iii) 6.0654 c per cubic metre beyond this figure. (d) Industrial premises or industrial land (not connected). i) $1.33 per thousand of capital value of property. Charge entitles industry to sprinkler system connection for fire protection purposes. (e) Houses with adjoining racing stables or commercial fowlhouses, butchers shops, fish shops and any other premises . with unmetered supply of water — charge as per Item (c) Industrial premises. (f) School, churches and other institutions. i) .1055 c per cubic metre of water used. Provided that in no case shall the charge be less than $16.00. (B) TAI TAPU (a) Dwellings — connected . . $32.00 (b) Sections and unconnected dwellings $16.00 (c) Metered supply $32.00 Basic charge allows for 2273 cubic metres, plus 32.5 c for 4.55 cubic metres used over 227.3 cubic metres. 3. SANITATION CHARGE: PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, and all amendments, a uniform annual charge of $BO.OO per pan for removal of nightsoil. 4. TEMPLETON SEWERAGE — UNIFORM ANNUAL CHARGE: PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, and all amendments, a uniform annual charge of $60.00 per dwelling unit within the Templeton Uurban Drainage Area, and such other charges as fixed by resolution of the Council. 5. OTHER AUTHORITIES RATES: The Council will collect as directed, such rates as are made by Special Order by the following authorities— Christchurch Drainage Board Christchurch Transport Board North Canterbury Catchment Board RATES BY INSTALMENTS: THE above rates and charges are for the period commencing April 1, 1980, and ending March 31, 1981, and shall be due and payable at the Paparua County Council Office, 149 Main South Road, Sockbum, in four instalments on the following dates:— Instalment Date Due and Date of 10% No. payable additional 1 April 16, 1980 June 1, 1980 2 July 16, 1980 September 1, 1980 3 October 16, 1980 December 1, 1980 4 January 16, 1981 March 1, 1981 NOTE: Any ratepayer may pay the rates for ♦’ 1980/81 rating year in one payment without curring the 10 per cent additional charge ounpaid first instalment provided the amount « ■. rates for the full year is paid no later than A t 31, 1980.
