Airfares to rise
PA Auckland Air fares between New Zealand and Singapore, Hong Kong, and Fiji will rise by about 10 per cent from today. Air New Zealand last evening announced. the implementation of the increases, agreed upon five months ago by ,” the International Air Transport Association. ■ They will affect all tickets bought from today for travel on or after June 20. As well as the increases, Air New Zealand has altered the conditions of the excursion fare to Singapore, introducing a “high season” from December 1 to September 14. The excursion fare will now be available only for| travel between September 15; and November 13. The maximum stay under the fare conditions will increase from 45 to 90 days, and the minimum stay will test at seven days. The Singapore excursion fare will Stay at its present $826 return, but the high season fare will, now be $950 return. The economy fare to Singapore one way will rise from $699 to $769, and the the first-class fare will rise: by 15 per cent. The Hong Kong excursion fare will rise from $1137 return to $1251 and the economy fare will now be $959 One way. It was $B7l. The low season Epic fare to Rarotonga, which was 8320 return, will now be $352. The high season fare Will rise from $394 return to 8434. The ordinary economy fare, Which was $249 one way, will now cost $274. 1
