PA Auckland The Mangere College board of governors has endorsed the action taken by the school principal over the performance of the Maranga Mai Maori cultural group last week. The board said on Wednesday that it had carefully considered the complaints of all parents, and fully backed the
principal (Mr I. D. Armstrong) in his handling of the matter. Mr Armstrong apologised to pupils and: parents about the show, which was widely criticised, for both its content and “unsavoury language.’ As complaints had now been directed to the proper quarters, the board con- ( sidered the matter closed.
