Y.F. clubs feasible?
PA Wellington The Government has set Up a committee to look at other ways of funding and running Young Farmers’ Clubs. . , At present the Ministry of Agriculture provides $5OOO and the services of three lull-time officers for the Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs. The federation’s president, Mr Bernard Duncan, of Darfield, said yesterday that the federation would continue to be serviced by the Ministry over the next 12 months. “Two two-person committees will take an in-depth look at the federation, asking such questions as: Should there be Young Farmers’ Clubs? Should their aims be expanded?” said Mr Duncan.
He said he hoped the changes would strengthen the organisation.
