Thick 5: fog enveloped the course dur- > ing the morning. 1 She ran her 800 m com--s'fortably on the outside of 5 the course proper in 51s, the Jlast 600 m in 37.55. )l All gallops took place on >'the outside of the course j] proper, which was easy. 51 Of the visitors none attracted more attention than •Ithe top-class galloper Dis’iraeli, which will be attending
[his second success in the I race when he tackles the Gloaming Stakes tomorrow. He galloped when the fog was at its worst, but could still be timed for 1400 m, which took Imin 30s. He had two locals for company, Dew Drop and Nivek Pride, but he was well clear of those two at the finish.
Schenley galloped early and was timed for 1600 m at llmin 48.55. He has improved iduring his stopover and will be a leading light in the Gloaming Stakes. He will be ridden by Brian Hibberd.
