sJZPA Eondottt The New Zealand cricket opener, John> Wright, scored his second |: century within a week when .he made 117 for , Derbyshire against North- . amptonshire in county cricket on Wednesday. Last Friday, Wright totalled a career-best 166 not out against Lancashire.
On Wednesday he shared in a stand of 253 with Peter Kirsten, of South Africa, who scored an unbeaten 209, as Derbyshire went to 372 for two before declaring. Kirsten’s double century was the second of the season. The first was by the former New Zealand captain, Glenn Turner, who scored 228 last Friday.
But yesterday, against Lancashire, Turner failed to score.
