Captaincy problems
NZPA Sydney Captaincy remains the biggest single problem facing Australia’s rugby selectors this week-end when ■ they choose a 25-man Muring! team for Fiji. Selectors are believed to have narrowed the field to four contenders — none of whom is guaranteed a test place. Those favoured are the Queensland captain, Paul
McLean, a former .test captain, Tony Shaw, the'Sydney ■ captain, Mick Mathers, and his predecessor, Peter Carson. I The team will be named ion Sunday, after the annual clash between N.S.W. and Queensland at the Sydney ■ Sports Ground. Replacing Mark Loane as captain has become a much : bigger task than anybody i has anticipated.
