Riccarton Road footpath
Sir, — I should like to know how much longer the Waimairi County Council expects the residents of Riccarton Road to stumble along the footpath which was dug up several weeks ago. As a ratepayer for the last 45 years, I resent having to pick my way along this path at the risk of broken limbs, and ask that something be done immediately to seal this mess. I cannot help wondering if the members of the council would put up with this state of things outside their houses. I also question what we pay rates for. — Yours, etc..
(Mrs) ALMA A. BUTLER April 29, 1980.
[The chairman of the Waimairi County Council, Mr D. B. Rich, replies: “The resealing of the footpath in Riccarton Road is proceeding at the moment, and is expected to be completed in the near future.”]
