No Values candidate
PA Auckland The Values Party has decided not to put up a candidate for the Northern Maori by-election. The party’s leader (Mrs Margaret Crozier) said last evening that the Auckland region of the party wanted to endorse Mr Matin Rata's Mana Motuhake movement. The movement aim of Maori self-determination was already the Values Party’s policy. Mrs Crozier said Values Party members were giving financial support to Mr Rata’s cause and gifts would be forwarded to his organising committee.
