Hint of P.S.A. link to F.O.L.
PA Wellington When Mr W. J. Knox, president of the Federation of Labour, opened the Public Service Association’s new building in Wellington on Tuesdaj-, the P.S.Aj president and Combined State Unions chairman (Mr D. H. Throp) said the invitation indicated the accelerating changes in the thinking of State unionists. Mr Thorp, who had earlier addressed the F.O.L. conference, said he hoped that the P.S.A. would affiliate to the F.O.L. “before too long” and become part of a strong, central union organisation.
