Reinstatement for Kindie
PA Dunedin Kindie has been restored the winner of the Junction Highweight at the Beaumont Racing Club’s meeting on March 29. The decision was made yesterday by the Otago District Committee who heard an appeal by .Kindie’s owner, Mr A. J. Aitcheson. He appealed against the relegation of the horse from first to second by the judicial committee of the Beaumont Club for causing inter-
ference at the straight en« trance. The Otago committee resolved that minor interference took place and this was not sufficient to alter the placings. Accordingly Kindie was restored to first placing and Bold Mellay to second. The committee also reviewed the penalty imposed on K. W. Scott, the rider of Kindie. A fine imposed on him was reduced from $lOO to $3O in view of the minor nature of the Interference.
