Sir,— Rather.'than argue? principles with Erica Jordan. . (May: 6). let us look at' a real case • from ' a Christchurch ,'school. A mother had managed ; to convey to her daughter that- if a girl got too xlose- toa boy she would get ■ pregnant. The poor kid was terrified even to hold hands with a boy during class folk-dancing.
