The United Nations flag has been lowered at the AlGala camp beside the Suez Canal, formally ending tire work of the United Nations Emergency Force, the official Middle East News Agency has said. U.N.E.F. had monitored military disengagement agreements between Egypt and Israel in Sinai before the two countries signed a peace treaty in March, 1979. The Soviet Union last year vetoed the extension of the U.N.E.F. mandate.—lsmailia.
