Nyah came in for attention as an Amberley Cup prospect with one of the best gallops on the No. 1 grass at Riccarton yesterday. Brydon Mills’s strong Alvaro mare beat her stablemate Spedito by a length and a half over 1400 m, run in the smart 'time of Imin 295. Nyah ran her last 600 m in 38.65, doing her work well to the end. Spy Force which, like Nyah, goes into the Amberley Cup with a background of sprinting form, was paired with his stablemate Spy Troop to run 1000 m in Imin 6s, the last 800 m in 51.85.
