Dates for trot sales in 1981
The vendors of the best tumed-out colt and filly fit the 1981 selected sale of standardbred yearlings will receive a single return trip to Sydney provided by Air New Zealand. This has been announced by Wrlghtson Bloods-tock, Ltd, in its release about the round of sales to be held in New Zealand in 19S1. The sales will start with the Great Northern selected yearling sale and broodmare and mixed stock sale to be held at Alexandra Park On Thursday, February 5. two days before the running of th# Auckland Cup. A week later, on February 12. the National selected yearling sale will be held in Christchurch, with a parade of horses on Wednesday, February 1L The sale of broodmares and mixed stock, plus other yearlings, will be held on Friday. February 13, the day before the New Brighton Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington Raceway. Entries for the sales of yearlings in Auckland and Christchurch will be called next month and will close on July 18. The auctioneers and the Standard bred Breeders’ Association will make their selections in midAugust.
