Take-over prospects help shares
Share prices continued to thrive on take-over prospects on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. The announcements by N.Z. Forest Products that it will build a pulp mill at Marsden Point, and that it was holding talks with U.E.8., saw its shares regain the 4c they lost on Monday. U.E.B.- firmed a further 4c to 105 c, although prices ranged up to 107 c. Odlins was again traded actively, rising lc to 70c at interest in timber-related' issues continued. Mosgiel was 4c higher at 52c. The rises and falls were evenly balanced on a mixed, busy market.
