Anzac Day
Sir,- — I suggest that J; B, Varga (May 5) read my published article once again; and more carefully, before replying and interpreting it incorrectly; I did not say that I found “the attitude of the women; protesting about the rape of women and children during war* distressing.” I did say, however, that I found that it was a distressing fact that the group of women should interrupt an Anzac Day oneminute silence, which is put aside once a year in memory of all those who suffered and died during the misfortunes of war, protesting that they were not thought of. It is quite obvious the person has the wrong point. — Yours, etc., miles averill; May 5, 1980.
