Soccer date finalised
The New Zealand soccer team will play a southern region side at English Park on the evening of May 16. This was confirmed yesterday, subject to the Christchurch City Council’s approval for use of the ground on that night.
Two days later, New Zealand will play a central regional selection in Wellington. The matches are being played, partly as a build-up to next year’s World Cup qualifying matches and partly to fill the gap left by the absence of an overseas touring team this season.
