The successful applicant will be based in Wellington, but required to maintain close contact with member companies throughout ■ the country. DUTIES: Apart from his training function, the Executive Training Officer is also the Board’s Chief Officer and will be responsible for implementing existing training programmes, completing the formation of an Advanced Certificate course, administering the Certificate examinations, and assessing the changing training needs of the industry. He will need to maintain close liaison with the Vocational Training Council, educational institutes, other Industry Training Boards and member companies. This will require some travelling within New Zealand. QUALIFICATIONS: While a detailed knowledge of the Stock and Station Industry would be a distinct advantage, it is not absolutely necessary. Applicants with qualifications or experience of the industry, farm management, land valuation or some other agricultural subject, will receive every consideration. The age range is flexible.
