Pine marks anniversary
PA Wellington ; The Israeli Ambassador, Mr Yaakov Morris, planted a Jerusalem pine in.the Wellington Botanic Gardens yesterday- to celebrate Israeli’s thirty-second anniversary of independence.
Officials at the lunchtime ceremony at which, 32 pines were planted included the Mayor of Wellington (Mr Michael Fowler). At a similar. ceremony in Jerusalem yesterday 32 pines from New Zealand were to be planted.
