Complete with handle and full tank'the power unit weighs only SOlbs, fitted with an 8 auger, a total of only 45lbs. It's well-balanced and easily carried — even The sturdy D-shaped handle won't slide off the back of a truck or roll downhill. Minimum overhang lets you bore along guide wires or an existing fenceline. . The Tas 2-stroke engine is a thoroughly reliable unit which starts readily, hot or cold. A grease 'filled-for-life’ gearbox with induction hardened spur gears reduces the engine speed (at full working load) from 5,000 r.p.m. to 150 r.p.m. at the output shaft. Augers available are 2” (For tree planting), 3", 4', 6 and 8 diameters. All auger tips are hard-faced with tungsten on their cutting edges and cutting tips are readily detachable. Holes up to 2'9“ deep can be bored with all augers: for deeper holes 9 and 18" extensions are available. Both augers and extension pieces are attached to the borer by pins secured with hair-clip retainers. Changing from one depth to another or one size to another takes only seconds, and requires no tools.
