For every extra pound of fat we carry, the capillary system must be extended, causing the heart to strain, in forcing the blood into these areas. In essence then, the heart is overburdened, and for no useful purpose except to invite an earlier collapse. ■ The only real remedy for preventing becoming or being overweight .is sensible exercise combined with good dietary h a b i t s ~ S i 1houette/American Health studios situated on the corner of Hereford and Madras Streets have for the past seventeen years dedicated their services to overweight. people in the Canterbury area and their success in this area of health service is welllknown in the .community.
