Liquor Council levy
Sir, _ “The Press,” April 11, announced that the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council’s levy has been. drastically reduced. No reasons were given for this. My theory is that the liquor industry has been talking to politicians with some persuasion. If the ALoholic Liquor Advisory Council were allowed to proceed unfettered in teaching the responsible use of alcohol, the country’s over-all consumption might well decrease, and so would profits and we' cannot have that, can we?—Yours, etc., KEVIN FOLEY. April 15, 1980.
