Mr Beetham’s visit to Canada
Sir, — Mr Beetham’s visit to British Columbia appears to have unduly concerned Mr Garvey (April 14). British Columbia is one of the more progressive states. Blessed with an abundance of natural resources, as is New Zealand, British Colum-* bia has experienced greatly improved benefits for its people under the Social Credit progressive policies. Mr Garvey’s objections can only be politically motivated. Mr Beetham’s trip will cost the taxpayer nothing. Mr Garvey must fear that Mr Beetham will return revitalised with enthusiasm for the possibilities which exist for our country and each New Zealander, and pose a real threat to the reactionary politics represented by Mr Garvey. — Yours, etc W. F. MORGAN. April 14, 1980;
