Police story
The Police will return to Britain later this month for two sell-out charity shows at the Newcastle 'City Hall. In fact, it is not all to do with “being nice,” for the band can only play charity concerts in order to dodge mounting tax problems. The Newcastle shows will be the Police’s first appearances in Britain this
year, as they finish their world trek through India, Egypt, and Greece. Wellington was not the only city to lose a Police concert. A projected concert in Rome on Good Friday was cancelled because of possible violence from the notoriously excited natives, who have put off other rock bands in the last few years.
