Hands Down, an impressive and easy winner of the Kauri Handicap at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, will not start in the J. McCloy Memorial Handicap at Methven on Saturday. Derek Jones has no definite programme mapped out for the talented five-year-old by Sly Yankee, but said there are
plenty . of good opportunities in Canterbury in the next few weeks. Neither Arainis nor Nandina Maestro will travel south to Forbury Park, while Aramis will also miss the Methven meeting. Daintv Judy is to bypass the Forbury Park meeting and start in the McCloy Memorial, a race
for which she will be one of the popular. fancies after some splendid racing on country courses in the last four months. Good Frost, Brookfield and Jacks Tram are three certain starters at Forbury Park instead of Methven, said Gavin Hampton, who, will drive them at Dunedin.
