Hit-and-run driver sought
The Christchurch police are still looking for the car involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Ferry Road, near Portman Street, about 10.30 p.m. on Easter Monday. They seek a late-model, medium-sized car, possibly dark blue. A pedestrian, Charles Terauna, aged 26, died in hospital several days after the accident.
The police are anxious to hear from the occupants of a cream *T100”-type car, who might have seen the accident. Any witnesses should get in touch with the fatal accident inquiry office at the Central Police Station immediately. ‘i
