Arsenal hopeful

NZPA-Reuter London Arsenal’s manager, Terry Neil, believes his team could upset Liverpool’s bid to win both the English soccer league and the Football Association (F.A.) Cup. The leader, - Liverpool, looks certain to retain the First Division title but it must overcome a stern challenge by the holders, Arsenal, in the F.A. Cup. The sides fought a goalless draw in Saturday’s semi-final while West Ham drew, 1-1 with Everton in the other tie. The replays will be held tomorrow. After a predictably close match with Liverpool, Neill said: “We have got our teeth into the tie now and there is no way we should let it go.” Arsenal is attempting to reach the final for the third

time running and it came very close to that objective late in Saturday’s match when Brian Talbot hit the crossbar. Neill is confident that ,he will be able to field an . unchanged side for the replay, but Liverpool has injury problems. The second clash between London’s West Ham and Everton- is expected to be very hard. Both teams can say they were on top for a period on Saturday so nobody will have any great advantage in ithe replay. Everton was in Control early on and. took the lead through a penalty by Brian Kidd after 40 minutes.- But Kidd was sent off early in the second half, after a scuffle with Ray Stewart and West Ham grabbed a 70th-minute' equaliser by Stuart Pearson.
