$2l million fires
Government and private offices, two cinemas, and a public market have been destroyed in two fires that caused damage estimated at more than $2l million. Three people were hurt. The police, who are investigating possible arson, said the property loss was the worst since authorities introduced a “fire prevention month”' in March. — Manila.
