Schoolchildren leave the twin Savoy theatres yesterday after spending the last afternoon of the Easter holidays watching the movies.
Cinemas and department stores in Christchurch had an unusually busy day as hundreds of children flocked to the city.
Full houses were reported at cinemas showing films approved for general exhibition, and one cinema had to turn about 100 children away from its afternoon session.
