Shop assistant sentenced
A shop assistant con-, victed of stealing goods and cash, totalling $744, from his; employer, was sentenced to] four months periodic deten-i tion by Judge J. S. Bisphan) in the District Court vester-; day. Counsel (Mr P. R. Van -Rij) told the Judge that compensation in full had been paid to .the employer, John Bull Cycles, Ltd, by the defendant, Tony Maxwell Stanton, aged 22.
Last week Stanton ad-i mitted stealing cash amount-, ing to $lB7 and tools and! toys worth $587 from the) cycle shop where he was' employed.
