Oil find biggest?
A new appraisal of a vast and so-far undeveloped oil field in the waters west of the Shetland Islands has shown that it may well prove to. be the biggest ever found in British offshore territory,, according to a "Sunday Telegraph” report. The “Sunday Telegraph” says that.' British Petroleum’s chief geologist has been quoted as saying that the field contains at least 4000 million barrels of oil in place. That, says the paper, is only a fraction less than the two United Kingdom giant ..fields, Forties (4000 million barrels in place) and Brent (4500 million). — London.
