Socred ‘biggest threat’

PA Wellington Social Credit was the National Party’s biggest threat in the rural electorates, the president of the National Party (Mr G. A. Chapman) told Dominion councillors in Wellington yesterday. “They are our biggest risk in the rural electorates and we must not ignore under any circumstances the lesson of Rangitikei — where we have fought two elections and lost to Social Credit,” he said.
