“Mainland Touch”

Sir, —I wish to complain about the attitude of Rodney Bryant during'the “Mainland Touch,” programme on TVI last evening. Surely many people must have been shocked to see such a blatant exhibition of media setup. To see an interviewer so obviously take sides with an imported interviewee on the

life of Christchurch, then proceed to set up his man to get the best and last word is a disgrace. The day Christchurch sees the last of this kind of exhibition will be a good day.—Yours, etc., PAUL COLLINS. April 1, 1980. Sir,—So we have Rodney Bryant back on television. He seems to delight in dirty situations plus, a few “hells” thrown in. Fine, noble stuff from his point of view, but not for the clean-minded viewers’- who have looked forward to good-quality viewing from the “Mainland” programme,, but' had to put up with him having a smutty dialogue with a naked window cleaner.—Yours, etc., NOEL N; SMITH. April 1, 1980. ,<•’
