Sensational start
PA Whangarei Northland’s 1980 winter sports season started on a senational note yesterday when the first premier club rugby league match between Moerewa Tigers and Portland Parrots finished in a brawl. .The referee, .Mr Kevin. Sutton, rushed from the field as players started fighting early in the second half. Some spectators left the stand and tried to stop the fighting and after a period
